  8. WOSprefs is a MUI frontend which allows you to set various environment
  9. variables relating to the following programs:

  11.     * WarpOS
  12.     * StormMesa
  13.     * GLUT
  14.     * Warp3D
  15.  
  16. With all the environment variables related to the above packages (over 40
  17. at the last count), the process of setting them quickly became both long
  18. winded and unnecessarily tedious.

  20. Face it, who wants to type such convoluted stuff as...

  22.     echo >env:mesa/fast "1"
  23.     copy env:mesa/fast envarc:mesa/

  25. ...in the CLI every time they want to change a particular environment
  26. variable? Get real! Use WOSprefs - it lets you see all these variables
  27. together, change them, save them to ENV (for testing purposes) or to ENVARC
  28. (making any changes permanent) - and all with a nice MUI GUI.

  30. WOSprefs also provides brief text descriptions of all the variables so you
  31. needn't be stumped for the meaning of a particular variable or setting.
